How to get there

The town of Blackwater is located 836 km from Brisbane and 190 km west of Rockhampton, on the Capricorn Highway, in Queensland’s Central Highlands.

Blackwater is a short one and a half hour flight from Brisbane with Qantas Link. You can also hire a car from Rockhampton and make the short 2 hour drive across the Capricorn Highway.

You can’t miss the Blackwater International Coal Centre—it’s on your right hand side, right on the highway, as you travel through the town from east to west.
